Here is a small section for questions we often get, or feel need explaining.
1~ How do witches get their magic? Well in short, their magic comes from their shoes.
All shoes are created and distributed across Oz by a single witch, known as the Grand Elderess. The Grand Elderess is the oldest witch alive at the given time. Currently the Elderess is Criala Tateaux, The Owner of the Pearl Slippers.
In short, she is in charge of distributing all magic across Oz. She does so by putting it in shoes, and entrusting the shoes to Oz itself. Each "Crystal" city has a pair. When the land itself (Not the people, the PLACE) feels it has found the right girl (and in some odd instances, boy) that shall wield the slippers in the name of it, the person will somehow stumble across the shoes. They may appear in the person room, or the person could randomly find them, or the shoes could just appear on their feet.
When the slippers have chosen their witch, they release their magic into the person. A witch can channel this magic through the same crystal that the shoes are made out of, most commonly, a wand. 2~ I currently have my training wand. When do I get a new one? After a while of participating in the club, or after completing a specific task, you will be given your intermediate wand, a simple wand that has your gemstone implanted in it.
After you COMPLETE your training with one of the "Master" ranked witches, you will receive your Advanced wand, which is even more customized than your intermediate one.
After the council of good witches or the Triad of Bad witches deems you powerful and proficient enough, you will receive an "Artifact". This is an item completely custom for your witch. It is designed by the "Master" ranked witches, based around your witch's personality and actions.
Examples of Artifacts are Dietry's Opal Encrusted Diadem, and Cyrena's Aquamarine ring.3~Do I have to use a CRYSTAL? Or are precious rocks allowed too? Precious rocks, gems, and minerals are all acceptable. NO METALS however.4~ All the witches in here are girls! Can I have a boy? If you look above to see how witches get their slippers, and you can come up with a PLAUSIBLE reason as to why a BOY would be selected to be a witch, then yes you can, but mind you we will be kind of picky when it comes to male members. You'll have to have a VERY innovative story AND character design. If you have any others, let us know!

uh just passing through but i noticed your rules say shoes must be a gem but cannot be a metal.
are you aware that in the original oz books they were actually silver slippers they just changed it to ruby for the well known movie to show off it being in color?
